SkinVisible Files Patent for Topical Delivery System

LAS VEGAS--Skinvisible Inc. filed a new patent application for its topical polymer-based delivery systems, related technologies and manufacturing methods. It is formulated to deliver a variety of ingredients to the skin, including vitamins and alpha-hydroxy acid, via moisturizers, protectants and repellants.

According to the company(www.skinvisible.com), cosmetic preparations have included naturally occurring and synthetic polymers for decades. "What we have accomplished after extensive research is a process for creating a complex of hydrophilic and hydrophobic polymers, which offers enhanced binding to the skin and easy emulsification in water, resulting in drug and/or cosmetic delivery systems with low toxicity profiles and simplified ingredient decks," said JimRoszell, Ph.D., a Skinvisible chemist.
