Susan Haeger Speaks at IFSC
ORLANDO, Fla.--Susan Haeger, president and chief executive officer of Citizens for Health, spoke on a panel here at the International Food Safety Congress (IFSC) on July 20. The topic was "Biotechnology: Risks and Benefits."
Haeger was joined by Dr. Tom Zinnen from the University of Wisconsin; Terry Medley, JD, DuPont; Cathryn Mattson, Bestfoods and Dr. Thomas Hoban, North Carolina State University. Haeger was invited by the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) to represent consumers and their right to decide if biotech foods should be labeled.
