U.S. Patent Awarded to TSI

MISSOULA, Mont.--Technical Sourcing International (TSI) wasgranted a U.S. patent (No. 6,299,910) for its MSV 60 ingredient. The patentis titled "Methods for identification, purification and manufacturing ofthe active constituent in Salvia-miltiorrhiza (dansheng) and theapplication of this product in enhancing cardiovascular functions." MSV 60is a standardized extract of the Chinese herb dansheng.

The patent claims isolation of eight principal marker compounds andidentification of the most biologically active constituent, MagnesiumSalvianolate B.
