SSW Omega-3 Summit Helps Manufacturers Formulate for Freshness
This year’s SupplySide West Omega-3 Insights Summit “Formulating for Freshness” tackles the crucial issues on the forefront of manufacturers’ minds on Tuesday, Oct. 7.
Backed by a wealth of research, omega-3 fatty acids are leading the industry in demand and growth. Global omega-3 raw material sales grew 10 percent in 2011 to reach USD $1.81 billion, according to Frost & Sullivan data. And the sales aren’t slowing down; the market research firm predicted a 12-percent increase through 2016.
Even still, questions remain regarding how to best source, formulate and market these ingredients.
