KENAI, Alaska—Denali BioTechnologies completed phase one of the construction of its new 6,100-square-foot facility. Construction on the $2.4 million first phase began in February and included the installation of new equipment including a Refractance Window™Dryer; the dryer uses proprietary heat transfer technology to gently and efficiently remove moisture from delicate ingredients. Denali (www.denali-biotechnologies.com) will continue with upgrades to its facility over the next year, including adding encapsulation equipment. The company is focused on prospecting natural products for nutraceutical and pharmaceutical discovery in the Arctic, and works with groups including the Alaska Berry Growers. It supplies AuroraBlue™ Flavon-Plus Formula capsules and AuroraBlue as a bulk ingredient, as well as AuroraRed™ Flavon-Plus Formula and KenaiVite™ capsules.
