GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.ElanNutrition is investing $10 million to expand its nutritional bar manufacturingcapabilities and add a new line to produce sheeted nutritional bars. The newSollich equipment line will add production capacity for at least 80 million barsannually and provide the capability to construct multiple layered products. Elans(www.elannutrition.com) additional expansion plans include a new highspeed linein co-extrusion, new high-speed packaging equipment, and start-up of a mini-linefor manufacturing 20 g to 35 g bars with an option of packaging in bulk, pillowpacks or stand-up pouches.
