InterHealth’s facility in Benicia, California, earned NSF International’s good manufacturing practices (GMP) registration, which verifies it has the proper methods, equipment, facilities and controls in place for producing dietary supplement ingredients. NSF GMPs were developed in accordance with FDA 21 CFR part 111 regulations for the manufacturing, packaging and distribution of dietary supplements. Utilizing GMP guidelines assists companies in developing and maintaining process so that products are processed, manufactured and labeled in a consistent manner to meet quality standards.
In addition, Nutegrity and its parent company Omega Protein recently concluded an assessment of the Menhaden fish stock, which is the source for the company's line of highly purified omega-3 oils including OmegaActiv® (for dietary supplement applications) and OmegaPure® (for food and beverage applications). The assessment showed that the Menhaden population is not being subjected to overfishing and confirmed Nutegrity's responsible fishing practices. As a result of this assessment, the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) increased the harvest quota for Menhaden in 2015 and 2016 by 10 percent.
Also, in a recent speech at the Senate, finance committee chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) highlighted Albion Laboratories Inc. when he addressed the importance of international trade to the state of Utah, as well as the benefits of the passage of Trade Promotion Authority. Albion was recently showcased as the top company to represent Utah in the report “United States of Trade: 50 Stories in 50 States that Show the Impact of Trade Across the Nation." The report is a joint project of the Office of U.S. Trade Representative (part of the executive office of the president) and the Department of Commerce.

This status allows the marketing and use of Sharp PS® Green in a wide selection of foods and beverages in the United States. Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a highly researched ingredients shown to be potent for cognitive activity. In addition, it was clinically shown to be beneficial for other functions such as stress, depression, skin and sports nutrition. PS is the only cognitive bioactive ingredient that has been granted with a qualified health claim by FDA related to cognitive dysfunction and dementia in the elderly.
The Phoenix Business Journal included LifeTree Manufacturing, based in Tempe, Arizona, on its list of top area employers. The contract manufacturer, which was founded in 2011, has 87 full-time local employees, and it produces nutraceuticals, dietary supplements and functional foods.
Sabinsa Corp’s sister company Sami Labs was recognized with the Best District Exporter Gold Award at the 10th Export Excellence Award – 2015, organized by the Federation of Karnataka chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI), Bengaluru, India. The Export Excellence Awards are presented annually to the top exporters from the state of Karnataka for their outstanding performance. FKCCI was founded in 1916 to promote business development in Karnataka, which today is one of the top states in exports from India.
