TORONTO—Jamieson Laboratories (www.jamiesonvitamins.com) announced plans to close its Vancouver manufacturing facility, which handled the Quest brand of vitamins, as of Nov. 30, 2006, and to transition that manufacturing to its Windsor, Ontario, operation. According to Vic Neufeld, chief executive officer (CEO) and president, the closure was necessary to address high production costs and changing market conditions. “It is essential to Jamieson Laboratories’ continued competitiveness in the global natural health industry that we ensure the greatest manufacturing efficiencies possible by maximizing plant utilization,” he noted.
