NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.--Three companies recently received "A"compliance ratings for certification by the National Nutritional FoodsAssociation's (NNFA) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) program. Natrol Inc. (www.natrol.com),Earthrise Nutritionals (www.earthrise.com)and Arizona Nutritional Supplements (ANS) (www.aznutritional.com)each passed the rigorous review of their personnel, plant and grounds,sanitation, equipment, quality operations, production and process controls.

"We are delighted with the news of our 'A' rating," said ElliottBalbert, Natrol's president and chief executive officer. "This ratingcertifies that our product line meets NNFA's stringent guidelines forexcellence."

ANS, a contract manufacturer, noted in a release that NNFA's GMP program is abeginning to a safer and more consistent industry.
