Optimum Nutrition Expands Lab Ops

AURORA, Ill.Optimum Nutrition officially opened its new technical support wing, adjoining the companys 150,000-square-foot protein bar and powder production facility. The new laboratory complex includes fully equipped research and development (R&D) and quality assurance (QA) laboratories to accommodate the companys growing team of food scientists. It also includes a new microbiological laboratory.

This state-of-the-art Technical Support Wing will serve as the foundation for new product development initiatives and strengthen our ongoing efforts to continue to raise the bar for superior quality and unmatched consistency," said Gwen Meyer, director of innovation. This new facility will play an integral role in Optimum Nutritions global expansion."
