Quintiles, Capsugel Expand Alliance

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.J.--Quintiles Transnational Corp. and Capsugel, a division of Pfizer, have expanded their current alliance to include U.S.-based formulation and manufacturing services. The agreement will broaden availability of Capsugel patented technologies for liquid and semi-solid pharmaceutical formulations.

The alliance will enable pharmaceutical companies to address formulation problems through use of Capsugel's Liquid Encapsulation Microspray Sealing(LEMS™) equipment and Zanasi 40E liquid filling equipment to be available at the Quintiles facility in Kansas City, Mo.
