UAS Acquires APN Labs

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn.UAS Laboratories Inc. acquired all outstanding shares of APN Labs Inc., becoming the sole owner of the Wausau, Wis.-based nutraceutical contract manufacturing operation. APN Labs offers its own condition-specific probiotic blends as well as other ingredients.

S.K. Dash, Ph.D., president of UAS Laboratories, stated, With the acquisition of APN Labs, we are now in a great position to provide a complete range of probiotics and other specialty nutritional supplements including our branded products as well as customer private label products. UAS Labs has extensive experience in formulation of probiotics and other specialty nutraceuticals and we will now be able to offer many more services."

In early November, APN Labs received cGMP (current good manufacturing practice) certification from NSF International. The operation is also certified kosher, and its capabilities include production of branded products and bulk capsules, tablets and powders.
