APPI, Joe Franklin Partner

NEW YORK--Advanced Plant Pharmaceuticals Inc. (APPI) signed a Letter of Intent with Joe Franklin, a veteran television and radio personality. APPI offered to name a line of supplements after Franklin, which he will promote.

APPI manufactures dietary supplements that utilize the entire plant. The company has a patent pending for its "Whole Plant Pharmaceutical Grade Process" that, according to APPI, converts a whole plant into a standardized, pharmaceutical grade supplement.

Franklin currently has a radio show that boasts 30 million listeners each week, according to APPI. According to Barry Clare of APPI, Franklin will promote the products on his weekly show.

The first product in the "Joe Franklin Vitamin" line to be introduced is "Lo-Chol," a dietary supplement that promotes health cholesterol, according to the company. Lo-Chol is made from six whole plants that work to lower cholesterol, lower triglycerides and increase the ratio of good to bad cholesterol [HDL to LDL].

According to Clare, Franklin was chosen to represent the line because he meets the demographic--people with high cholesterol levels tend to be older. For more information, visit www.appi.cc.
