CHICAGO—Euromonitor International partnered with United States-China Health Products Association (USCHPA) to link market research to consumer health care and products in China.

The retail value sales for the vitamin and dietary supplement market is globally USD $84.4 billion and is $24.6 billion in the United States and $13.3 billion in China. Euromonitor’s consumer health system researches hundreds of subcategories surrounding vitamins and dietary supplements, sports nutrition, herbal/traditional products, weight management, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, allergy care and pediatric consumer health.

The USCHPA is a nonprofit organization that advocates for an open and transparent regulatory environment by working closely with the government and the industry.

“Euromonitor’s research and expertise within the consumer health industry provides our members insights that are hard to come by," said Jeff Crowther, USCHPA executive director said. “Better understanding of the Chinese consumer can only assist in better products and successful market entry in Asia."

Last month, USCHPA submitted its comments and suggestions to China’s National People’s Congress Legal Committee about the new Food Safety Law draft.
