CHATSWORTH, Calif.--Natrol Inc. (Nasdaq:NTOL) announced on Aug. 28 that Richard Stanley was appointed its new vice president of sales and marketing in its Prolab sports nutrition division. Stanley joined Natrol after a 24-year stint at General Nutrition Center (GNC), where he went from manager of a single store to president and chief operating officer of its entire Canadian operations. He succeeded Brian Fitch, who left for other opportunities.

"One can sense the excitement of the Natrol-Prolab team that is now in place," said Stanley. [Prolab was acquired by Natrol in October 1999.] "I am looking forward to helping Prolab expand as the company seeks to broaden its visibility among male and female consumers looking to be more fit."

According to chief financial officer Dennis Jolicoeur, Stanley will help the company expand its market share. "This is a $24 million division that could easily be three or four times that size," Jolicouer said.

According to Jolicoeur, the position of vice president has been redefined to include new responsibilities. Stanley will lead its sales, marketing and product development efforts. For more information, visit www.natrol.com.
