BLOOMINGDALE, Ill. The National Association for Business Resources (NABR) named NOW Foods one of its 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the nation for 2013. The company has been recognized by the association as one of Chicago's best companies to work for the past six years, but this is the first year it earned the national title.

For the award, NABR identified best practices in HR and established benchmarks for companies in employment standards. An independent research firm then assessed categories such as work-life balance; compensation, benefits and employee solutions; employee achievement and recognition; and community initiatives.

NOW Foods offers a comprehensive wellness program for its employees, in addition to a tobacco cessation and green parking programs. The company also matches employee donations to more than 15 local, national and international charities.

We are pleased to be named one of the 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in the country and we are committed to keeping NOW a great place to work going forward. As a family-owned company that is employee-focused, we believe in taking care of our employees with a great compensation and benefits package," said Jim Emme, president of NOW Foods. Our more than 900 employees are part of the NOW family and our mission to empower people to lead healthier lives starts with each and every one of them."
