nSpired Acquires Cool Fruits

SAN LEANDRO, Calif.--nSpired Natural Foods has acquired Cool Fruits Inc. through a stock purchase. Following the late November purchase, nSpired appointed Cool Fruits' Richard Worth to lead the marketing and business development activities at nSpired. Worth, who acquired Cool Fruits in 1997, is responsible for introducing Frookies, the first nationally distributed brand of cookies formulated with fruit juices and not refined sugars.

Worth is excited to be more product-focused at nSpired. "I get to put 100 percent of my efforts into more cool stuff like new brands, package design, P.O.P., marketing and strategic planning," said Worth.
