HOUSTON--In deals totaling approximately $5 million in cash and up to 180,000 shares of stock, Nutrition for Life International (NFLI) finalized the acquisitions of Advanced Nutraceuticals Inc. (ANI) and Bactolac Pharmaceutical Inc. NFLI has also recently been in negotiations to acquire ASH Corp.

The ANI and Bactolac purchases have not shaken up the corporate structure of the companies too much. Dr. Pailla Reddy will continue to serve as president of Bactolac and David Bertrand will continue to serve as president and chief executive officer of NFLI. Gregory Pusey, president of ANI, has been elected chairman of the board at NFLI.

"Completion of these acquisitions represents a milestone in our strategic plan to expand the operations of NFLI," said Bertrand. According to Bertrand, the company is looking forward to internal growth and future acquisitions.
