Pilot Therapeutics Adds Three to Management Team

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.--Glenn Kline, chairman of the board of directors of PilotTherapeutics, announced three new management appointments, effective Dec. 1.Floyd "Ski" Chilton, Ph.D., founder and chief scientific officer, hastaken on the additional role of chief executive officer. Chilton has worked inthe field of lipid biochemistry and has studied the role of arachidonic acidmetabolism in human diseases. Kenneth Tramposch, Ph.D., while retaining hisposition of chief operating officer, is now also president of Pilot. Tramposchhas more than 20 years of experience in the discovery, development and projectmanagement of new drugs. Finally, board member Russell Armistead has beenappointed to the position of chief financial officer. Formerly, Armistead wassenior associate dean for administrative services at Wake Forest UniversitySchool of Medicine and the university's vice president for health servicesadministration.
