SAINT CLAIR SHORES, Mich.Albion Human Nutrition received CAS numbers DimaCal® (dicalcium malate, No. 671197-49-2) and dimagnesium malate (No. 671197-5-5). CAS numbers are an important international reference point for scientists, governments, and regulatory bodies in identifying the molecular structure of substances.  The successful acquisition of a CAS number for specific Albion products can aid in further registration of these products in individual countries, thus able to support an expanding sales effort.

DimaCal® and dimagnesium malate are patented minerals and are available in both powder and granular forms, which makes it well suited for use in tablets, capsules, foods and powdered drinks.

CAS, a division of the American Chemical Society, is the most authoritative and comprehensive source for chemical information. CAS databases, including CAS REGISTRY, the gold standard for substance information, are curated and quality-controlled by CAS scientists.

In 2010, Albion received a CAS number (1208240-55-4) for its Chromium Nicotinate Glycinate Chelate (chromium chelate).
