EFSA Approves Calcium Sulphate Use In Supplements

PARMA, Italy—The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has approved calcium sulphate use as a calcium source in food supplements. The EFSA said “calcium sulphate functions in a manner comparable with other calcium forms and therefore saw no reason to issue any precautionary safety advice, NutraIngredients reported.
