Iron Ingredient Proves Bioavailable

EDINA, Minn.--SunActive Fe, an iron supplementfrom Taiyo International Inc. (www.taiyokagaku.com),is as well absorbed as ferrous sulfate, according to a study presented at the2003 International Anemia Consultative Group Symposium, which was held Feb. 6 to7 in Marrakech, Morocco. The high iron bioavailability of SunActive Fe indicatesthe potential usefulness of the compound for food and beverage fortification,according to the researchers from the Laboratory for Human Nutrition in Zurich,Switzerland.
