Magnesium Chelazome May Improve Asthma

VIENNA, AustriaAlbionAdvanced Nutritions Magnesium Chelazome was used in a study presented atthe 13th Annual European Prespiratory Society Congress (www.ersnet.org) inVienna Sept. 27 to Oct. 1, 2003. The ingredient was found to have a significanteffect on the morbidity of asthma in children and adolescents, according toAlbion (www.albion-an.com). At the beginning and end of the double blind,randomized, placebo-controlled study, bronchial responsiveness to methacholinewas assessed; periodical clinical evaluations and pulmonary function tests werealso administered. Subjects receiving Magnesium Chelazome were found to usetheir inhalers less, had fewer asthma attacks and showed significant improvementin all lung function tests compared to placebo. The complete study will bepublished in the European Respiratory Journal.
