Rhodia Acquires Venesil

PARIS--Rhodia (NYSE:RHA) has completed its acquisition ofVenezuela-based Venesil, a precipitated silica producer. The acquisition ofVenesil will give Rhodia an additional annual precipitated silica productioncapacity of more than 20,000 tons and an annual sodium silicate productioncapacity of more than 50,000 tons.
