Albion Funding Study on Creatine Magna Power

ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich.Albion Human Nutrition is funding a new clinical study, to be performed at Western Washington University, Bellingham, Wash., to evaluate the impact of magnesium creatine chelate (Albions Creatine Magna Power®) alone or with a whey protein stack or a placebo on physical performance. The eight-week intervention will be conducted in a double blind fashion. Subjects will be tested at baseline and studys end with dietary analysis and physical activity log, as well as physiological attribute tests including body composition, body water, muscle strength and power. Data analysis will determine whether the different regimens affect variables associated with physical performance. The lead investigator, Lorri Brilla, Ph.D., hopes to start the study before the spring season.
