HEERLEN,The NetherlandsMore than 200 Dutch elite athletes training for theOlympics are the exclusive users of DSMs PeptoPro Sports recovery drink.The product was certified dopingfree by the DoCoLab at the University of Ghentin Belgium. DSM also commissioned a series of trials, which are underway at theUniversity of Maastricht, to investigate the role of the product in glycogenabsorption by muscle tissues.

DSM voluntarily undertook the testing with the laboratory, which is compilinga list of sports nutrition products that are doping-free. [Testing] removesany doubts the athletes may have, said Jan Hunik, PeptoPro Sports projectmanager. The clean bill of health issued by DoCoLab is all the more importantbecause the drink is presently only available to Dutch athletes.
