Lucas Meyer Conducts Study
DECATUR, Ill.--A study conducted by the Human Performance Laboratory at St. Cloud StateUniversity found that Lucas Meyer's CORTI-PS PhosphatidylSerine (PS) may minimize musclestress following moderately intense aerobic activities.
Twelve trained runners ingested either 600 mg of PS, 300 mg of PS or a placebo for 15days and ran for 90 minutes on day 15. Those who used the supplement experienced areduction of creatine kinase--a substance indicating muscle fiber damage.
"Our work shows that PS supplementation results in significantly lower amounts ofcreatine kinase levels 24 hours after exercise," said John Seifert, principalinvestigator of the study. "This implies that PS can help minimize muscle fiberdamage caused by muscular stress." For more information, visit www.lucasmeyer.com.
