Raiders Coach Cuts Ties to SWATS

Hue Jackson, the new head coach of the Oakland Raiders, cut his promotional ties to S.W.A.T.S., a marketer of sports nutrition supplements, as NFL rules bar coaches from having ties to supplement companies, according to NBC Sports. Gregg Rosenthal reported other NFL players including Ray Lewis from the Ravens and Roy Williams of the Bengals are among the S.W.A.T.S. athletes, who endorse the companys program to stay drug free.

However, Rosenthal noted a product on the S.W.A.T.S. website, The Ultimate Spray, contains deer antler velvet extract as well as IGF-1, which is banned by the NFL. The company was previously sued by David Voboroa of the Rams, who claimed The Ultimate Spray contained a steroid that caused him to fail a drug test, which resulted in a four-game suspension. However, Rosenthal reported Williams said he uses the product consistently, and has never tested positive on an NFL drug test.
