Rexall Sundown Acquires Worldwide Sport Nutrition

BOCA RATON, Fla.--In a deal totaling $71.5 million, Rexall Sundown signed adefinitive agreement to acquire Worldwide Sport Nutrition Supplements (WWSN)Inc. It will close this month. WWSN is a manufacturer of sports nutrition bars,drinks and shakes. The deal follows Rexall's January acquisition of MET-Rx.

"Our goal is to acquire strong brands and to offer additional deliveryforms which sell through multiple channels of distribution," said Rexall'spresident and chief executive officer, Damon DeSantis.
