Runner Kara Goucher Represents NUTRILITE®

ADA, Mich.Amway North America signed distance runner Kara Goucher to represent NUTRILITE®, represent the brand at several of the Rock n Roll Marathon seriesraces held in cities around the country that incorporate miles with music. Goucher will appear at the NUTRILITE mobile brand experience during race weekends. Her name and likeness also will appear online and in print in various NUTRILITE marketing collateral.

Goucher will endorse NUTRILITE vitamins, minerals and dietary supplements, as well as sports nutrition and energy products, including protein bars, sports drinks and recovery products, like NUTRILITE Endurance Cubes.

Goucher rose to national prominence at the University of Colorado in 2000, where she became the NCAA Outdoor Champion in 3000 m and 5000 m, and the NCAA Cross Country Champion. Goucher was the first American medal winner in the women's 10,000 meters at the 2007International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Outdoor Championships where she took home bronze. In Beijing in 2008, she finished 10th in the 10,000 meters, setting a personal record and becoming the third-fastest 10,000-meter runner in U.S. history. She also finished third in the 2008 New York City Marathon, a debut record for an American woman and the best by an American woman in New York since 1994. Goucher then won the 2009 Lisbon Half Marathon and placed third in the 2009 Boston Marathon, before taking 2010 off from competition to have her first child, who was born in September.

Goucher lives in Portland, OR, with her husband fellow American runner and Colorado alum, Adam Goucher and their son, Colton. Goucher is currently training for the 2011 Boston Marathon and the 2012 games in London.
