COLUMBUS Solae LLC and Maximum Human Performance (MHP) are partnering to sponsor The MHP Arnold Strongman Classic Powered by SUPRO® at the 2010 Arnold Sports Festival being held in Columbus this weekend. Both companies will also exhibit at the Arnold Sports Expo, with Solae offering a taste challenge featuring its SUPRO XF, an isolated soy protein delivering exceptional flavor and functional performance for high-protein beverages.

As the worlds leader in soy ingredients, we think its important to be involved in premier sporting events such as the Arnold Sports Festival, said Dr. Greg Paul, global director for sports nutritionSolae. Research shows that combining a blend of proteins into your diet, including isolated soy protein, whey protein and casein, may have nutritional advantages and help with optimal sports performance. Many of the strongmen participating in this years classic consume a blend of proteins for this exact reason.

SUPRO is Solaes branded isolated soy protein, and is used in protein blends in several MHP products including Probolic-SR and Up Your MASS. Probolic and Up Your MASS are both top-selling products due to their uniqueness and effectiveness in maximizing sports performance, said Steve Downs, marketing director at MHP. Probolic uses a patented 12-hour sustained release protein technology and Up Your MASS uses muscle building protein and nutrients for healthy weight gain. Some of the best strongmen in the world, including Phil Pfister, Derek Poundstone and Brian Shaw, use our products to help them succeed in competitions such as the Arnold Strongman Classic.

Solae also launched a microsite, PoweredBySupro.com, to serve as a resource for sports nutrition consumers. The site provides the latest muscle building protein information, including nutrition tips and facts from leading experts such as Dave Hawk, former Mr. Universe.
