XStream Acquires Fellow Energy Drink Maker

BOCA RATON, Fla.--Energy drink company XStreamBeverage Group Inc. (OTCBB:XSBG) acquired Salzburg, Austria-based Dark Dog for$34 million in cash and stock. The deal was expected to close Sept. 30. DarkDog, which will be operated as a wholly owned subsidiary, distributes product inmore than 20 countries and is second in sales to another Austria-based brand,Red Bull. Gunther Ballweber will remain as Dark Dog's president and chiefexecutive officer, in addition to serving on XStream Beverage's board ofdirectors.
