WASHINGTONIn letters thatwere found on the homepage of the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER)(www.fda.gov/cder), five sites selling supplements were chastised in June forusing claims of a drug nature. AerobicOxygenUSAgfy.com was warned about false claims beingmade for its Aerobic Oxygen USA product. Claims insinuated the product wouldcure hangovers, improve the health of people with cancer and AIDS, and benefitthose prone to angina. WellFx.com was cited for promoting products such asArthritis Pain and Chamomile Calm for aiding in rheumatism and reducing thesymptoms of ADHD, respectively. Heallix.com reported on its site that products such as HEALlixand Cardi Care might alleviate arthritis and high cholesterol, respectively. OnThePowerStore.com, site operators reported products from Twinlab could lowerbad cholesterol, protect against certain cancers, cataracts andheart disease, and prevent stroke. HerbStore.tv reported that itsproducts, Prime One and Brekhmans Gold, had success with such conditions asADHD and migraines.
