QUAKERTOWN, Pa.--CFC Logistics (www.cfclogistics.com)now offers irradiation at its 4.4-million-cubic-foot cold storage facility; itis the only facility of its kind in the nation that operates a food irradiatorinside its cold storage space, according to the company. The GENESIS Irradiator,designed by GRAY*STAR Inc. of Mount Arlington, N.J., kills food-borne illnessessuch as E. coli in food and perishable products. It is flexible and canaccommodate a variety of product mixes, shapes, packaging and fresh and frozenfoods.
