PISCATAWAY, N.J.Sabinsa Corp. announced its patented ingredient Curcumin C3 Complex® is now GRAS (generally recognized as safe) for use in a wide range of food and beverage products, following a comprehensive safety and toxicology review by an independent scientific panel assembled by Soni & Associates Inc. The self-affirmed GRAS monograph suggests maximum use levels of Curcumin C3 Complex, a branded turmeric (Curcuma longa) ingredient, of up to 0.125 percent w/w in specific foods. Applications range from baked goods and milk products to puddings, soups, confectionery and more.
