TGA Announces Recalls
SYDNEY, Australia--The Australia-based Therapeutic Goods Association(TGA) announced two supplement recalls in late 2003. The first was for VitalVitamin B Complex Capsules, made by Vital Health Foods Australia. The productswere recalled due to having a level of folic acid lower than the 400 mcg listedon their label.
TGA also ordered a recall of Nature Made vitamins, made by Pharmavite LLC.The vitamins were brought into Australia for market research purposes, but wereillegally being sold by eight pharmacies that somehow received the products.
