CLEVELANDGaneden Biotech Inc. appointed Glanbia Nutritionals as the primary North American distributor of GanedenBC30®. According to Glanbia, Ganeden will be able to capitalize on Glanbias distribution expertise and warehouse network located throughout North America.  Ganeden already has more than 50 national and international foods, beverages and nutritional supplements containing GanedenBC30® as an added ingredient.

To become a partner of Glanbia Nutritionals is an incredible opportunity," said Andrew Lefkowitz, Ganeden Biotech president and CEO. Glanbia has a vast distribution base throughout the United States, and we are simply thrilled GanedenBC30® is going to be readily accessible to companies looking to use our probiotic to enhance their products."

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that have been shown to improve digestive health and support immunity. In order for probiotics to be effective, they must survive manufacturing processes, shelf life, stomach acids and intestinal bile to arrive in the intestinal tract where they can have the greatest digestion health benefit. Glanbia noted GanedenBC30® is able to survive harsh manufacturing processes, including baking, freezing, boiling and high pressure due to its naturally-occurring layer of organic material that protects the genetic core of the bacteria.

Ganedens probiotics are a great fit with our product portfolio because they meet our strict stability requirements for food and beverage applications," said Richard Hazel, CEO of Glanbia Nutritionals (NA), Inc. We are pleased with the addition of GanedenBC30®, which now allows us to work with applications that werent previously thought possible. The new distribution partnership will also benefit Glanbia Nutritionals by furthering our aim of expanding nationwide leadership in the ingredient industry."
