CLOSTER, N.J.American Key Food Products' (AKFP) Kyrosan line of GMO-free potato-based maltodextrins are designed for use in clean-label instant hot soups and sauces, dried sausages, bakery creams and similar products.

Kyrosan products don't clump when added to hot water, and ferment slowly, which allows regulation of pH value in dried sausages. In bakery creams, the products are designed to replace milk solids; they control sweetness as well as improve body and texture.

The maltodextrins are hydrolyzed, spray-died potato starch and can be produced with specific DE levels. Kyrosan E20K has a DE level of 17-20, while Kyrosan E14K contains 14-17 DE levels.

AKFP carries diverse lines of GMO-free, gluten-free potato and tapioca starches as well as select GMO-free, gluten-free flours. In 2011, AKFP extended its product line to include arrowroot and native pea starches. For a list of AKFP products, refer to Food Product Design's Buyer's Guide.
