STAMFORD, Conn.MeadWestvacoCorp.s Packaging Resources Group (PRG) (www.meadwestvaco.com/prg)enhanced its line of Printkote Advantage C1S and C2S bleached paperboards. Thepaperboards are the first and only packaging substrates in the world withoutcolor or shading, according to MeadWestvaco. A color-fasting coating is used toachieve optimal paper brightness to improve the color stability and consistencyof printed images. Images tend to fade and yellow less over time, but thepaperboards help maintain color and extend the shelf-life of printed packages,according to MeadWestvaco.
