GARDENA, Calif.NP Nutra debuted its newest ingredient MacaXtra, a concentrated maca root powder. The organic, free-flowing powder guarantees a minimum of 1 percent glucosinates. The ingredient can be encapsulated or pressed into tablets, in addition to used in powdered supplements or beverage mixes.

Known as Peruvian Ginseng, maca is grown in the central Andean plateau at high altitude. The botanical dates back thousands of years, and has been used for stamina and energy. In addition, maca offers benefits for hormones and sexual health.

NP Nutra, based in Los Angeles, recently launched CocOganic, its certified organic coconut water ingredient. The company offers more than 100 certified organic and Kosher ingredients for dietary supplements and functional foods and beverages.
