Tortilla Conditioner Extends Shelf Life

LENEXA, Kan.Caravan Ingredients has developed Tortilla Suave, a conditioner that combines extends shelf life while combating difficult sticking situations associated with the production of tortillas. Recommended at a usage rate of  1% to 2% based on flour, this conditioner can be added to existing tortilla formulas to reduce sticking, improve softness and increase rollability. Additionally, Tortilla Suave contains no hydrogenated fats and can be used as part of a formula labeled as zero grams trans fat.
