Regenerative farming applies the principles of organic, while adding a focus on farms as closed systems—living organisms able to provide their own intrinsic solutions for healthy longevity. In this Healthy INSIDER Podcast, Heather Granato, vice president of content, Informa, talks with Elizabeth Candelario, president, Demeter, about the future of responsible agriculture.

Their conversation touches on:

• Some of the misconceptions around regenerative agriculture and biodynamic farming

• What a regenerative approach looks like along the supply chain

• How biodynamic agriculture can impact the food and nutrition industry—as well as the environment—in the future.

Candelario is speaking at 2018’s Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California. The “Regenerative Earth Interactive Workshop” occurs Thursday, March 8, from 2:30 to 4 p.m., and a discussion on “Supporting Farmers: Regenerative Practices for Agricultural Prosperity” is on Friday, March 9 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
