Press Release

GMP certified tocotrienol and palm mixed-carotene producer ExcelVite will exhibit at SupplySide West and showcase EVTene™-Natural Mixed Carotene and its health benefits for health supplement, functional food and beverage applications.

EVTene™ natural mixed-carotene complex is produced from sustainably-sourced Malaysian red palm oil, with a similar composition of carotenes as found in carrot - 33% alpha-carotene, 65% beta-carotene & 2% of other carotenes (gamma-carotene, lycopene, etc.). What makes EVTene™ unique is that it has the highest level of alpha-carotene compared to other commercial carotene sources i.e. synthetic-, fermentative- and algae-beta-carotene.

Research has shown that besides providing pro-vitamin A to help prevent vitamin A deficiency and night blindness, consumption of natural mixed carotenes derived from fruit and vegetables is associated with reduction in risks of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), type 2 diabetes mellitus, improves bone mineral density (BMD) in adults, especially women; and telomere protection (anti-aging).

At SupplySide West 2016, in meeting increased market demand for natural ingredients to develop products with clean label and Non-GMO ingredients, ExcelVite will showcase a series of mixed-carotene products derived from palm fruit as natural beta-carotene for use in dietary supplement, and as food colorant (yellow to orange shades) for use in functional food and beverage formulations. EVTene™ is available in various forms such as oil concentrate (EVTene™), water soluble emulsion (EVTeneSem™), water dispersible powder (EVTeneSol™), and beadlets (Alphabeads® / EVTeneBeads™).

EVTene™ is self-affirmed GRAS, Vegetarian, non-GMO, Halal- and Kosher-certified.

“Unlike the conventional beta-carotene like synthetic-, Blakeslea trispora or fermentative- and Dunaliella salina, also known as algae-beta-carotene; EVTene™ is the only true natural plant-derived mixed-carotene complex. EVTene™ allows manufacturers to formulate products with clean label because they are natural, healthy, non-GMO, and do not contain complicated chemicals," says Bryan See, regional product manager, ExcelVite Inc.

“One-fourth of the entire US population is made up of millennials who are the main driving force behind the clean label culture, and there are also health-conscious boomers and housewives who demand for nutritious and healthy foods. Hence, I look forward to meeting with manufacturers and formulators at SupplySide West, to discuss research studies and applications of natural mixed-carotene," added Bryan.

ExcelVIte will also share updates on the latest clinical trial on its flagship product – EVNol SupraBio™, the most bio-available and clinically-researched tocotrienol in the market.
