According toKelatron (www.kelatroncorp.com), clinical studies of the ferric trimaltolcomplex showed at high and low doses more rapid and greater total absorptionwhen compared to ferrous sulfate. In addition, Kelatron noted clinicalinvestigation of ferric trimaltol for treating iron-deficiency anemia showed itcorrected the problem and had a low incidence of side effects.
