BARCELONA, SpainLIPOFOODS SL introduced LIPOCAL during the IFT Food Expo. LIPOCAL is microencapsulated tri-calcium phosphate containing 36-percent calcium for use in soy yogurt manufacturing. LIPOCAL can be added at the same time as the cultures, eliminating the need for an extra production step. LIPOPHYTOL, a patented plant sterol delivery system, LIPOFER, an oral delivery system for iron, and LIPOMEGA-3, a microencapsulated omega-3 fish oil, are also available.
