BASEL, Switzerland--Roche Vitamins & FineChemicals (www.roche.com) announced itsnatural source vitamin E, in the form of d-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, fullycomplies with recent limits imposed by Dutch authorities on benzo(a)pyrene (BaP).Dutch authorities limited BaP levels to a maximum of 1 ppb in consumer productsbecause of possible carcinogenicity, and noted certain forms of natural-sourcevitamin E, including d-alpha tocopherol, d-alpha-tocopheryl acetate and d-alphatocopheryl succinate, could contain high levels of BaP.
