Vitamin A May Add Height

INDONESIA--A deficiency in vitamin A has been linked with stunting growth inpreschool children. In the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (AJCN), a newstudy was done to examine the effects of vitamin A supplements on the height ofIndonesian children, ages 6 to 48 months. The results showed that a high dose ofvitamin A was found to moderately affect height by .21 cm within a four-monthperiod.
