Vitamin Shoppe, Kroeger Add Healthnotes Content

PORTLAND, Ore.--Healthnotes Inc. announced tworetail alliances in August. First, The Vitamin Shoppe in North Bergen, N.J.,signed a multi-year agreement to offer Healthnotes information online and inits stores. Healthnotes will be presented to customers on touchscreen kiosks inThe Vitamin Shoppe's 114 locations and incorporated into the company's Web site(www.VitaminShoppe.com) in targetedproduct areas.

The Vitamin Shoppe has been working with Healthnotes since 1999."We know our customers are information gatherers with an active interest intheir overall well-being," said Jeffrey Horowitz, founder and chiefexecutive officer of The Vitamin Shoppe. "By offering Healthnotes, we allowthem an opportunity to learn more ... in order to make appropriate personalchoices."

In the second agreement, Kroeger Co. partnered with Healthnotesto provide health and wellness content on its corporate and retail Web sites.Kroeger's "Health Guide" is available under the Pharmacy/Health linkon Kroeger Web sites. The program includes frequently asked questions abouthealth concerns, information about dietary supplements, and possiblenutrient/drug interactions.
