CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa--D V Technologies named Wilke Resources as the exclusive sales and marketing agent for SelenoSource^™, its high-selenium yeast product. SelenoSource is a pasteurized, whole-cell, high-selenium yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) that has been grown in a medium enriched with selenium. During the production process, selenium is absorbed by the yeast cell and incorporated into the yeast's organic matrix. Residual inorganic selenium is removed by washing the yeast prior to drying.
