Zila Nutraceuticals Expands Ester-C Capacity

PHOENIXZila Inc. (www.zila.com)started expansion of production capacity for its Ester-C product; the $200,000expansion should be complete by late June 2003. Additional expansion of the ZilaNutraceuticals facility in Prescott, Ariz., may take place in fiscal 2004 basedon market demand.

The expansion is designed to keep pace with Ester-C sales growth. Through thefirst nine months of Zilas 2003 fiscal year, net sales for the nutraceuticaldivision surpassed the $19.6 million the division generated during all of fiscal2002. In addition, Zila plans to launch a new Ester vitamin product duringfiscal 2004.
